At DIAGNOSTICS.WALES we follow a set five stage process that we know works

It starts with Communication


We will ask you to complete a brief questionnaire to provide some background to the fault(s) and why the ECU needs testing. This is more important than you might think, we use this as a basis for what we’re trying to identify.

ECU Testing


Either send us the ECU or arrange for us to have the car. If we have the car, additional testing will be carried out via the car's communication systems. We will bench test the unit separately in the lab and remove the casing to inspect the circuit boards. A report will be compiled by the technician which will include their recommended repair options and the estimated costings.

Estimate & Authorisation


A customer service advisor will be in touch with the results of your report and the estimate for repairs. You then need to either authorise or reject the estimate. If you cease works at this stage you will only be billed for the testing and your ECU will be put back together for collection.

Recommended Repairs


Whichever repair option is required, be it refurbishment or replacement, usually it will take a week to ten days to complete. All repairs come with a warranty, the details of which would have been on the estimate.
